Our Bones Cost More. Because They Last So Much Longer.
6 Reasons Our Bones Cost More (And Why They're Worth It)
We listened to thousands of dog parents. The same thing comes up again and again. Here's why the price is worth it, in their words and ours.

It Lasts for Days. The Cheap One Doesn't.
Cheap chews are gone in four minutes. This one is built in three layers that keep your dog working for hours, then coming back to it for days:
And when the marrow's gone? Refill the center with peanut butter, cheese, or yogurt and the whole thing starts over. That's why the math works: one bone outlasts a whole bag of the cheap stuff.

Slow-Smoked for Up to 72 Hours. Built to Last.
Every bone we make spends up to 72 hours of slow smoke in our Pennsylvania smokehouse. That's three days of low, patient heat doing what fast cooking never could. Drawing out the flavor, deepening the aroma, and locking the bone into its naturally strong state.
That's what makes these bones tough enough for the dogs that destroy everything else. This is the one that holds up and won't splinter into shards.

One Ingredient. No Preservatives. Lasts 3 Years.
Read the label, it's short. Beef Marrow Bone. That's it. No fillers, no chemicals, no preservatives, nothing you can't pronounce. The way a chew should be, and a big part of what you're paying for.
Here's the part that surprises people: these bones are still "alive," and air is what preserves them. Stored with a little air, they stay good for up to 3 years with zero preservatives. That's also why we never ship ours sealed in plastic. Cheap bones come shrink-wrapped because they're cooked dead, they don't need air. Ours do.

"It Smells Like a BBQ."
Customers absolutely love the smell. Campfire. Backyard BBQ. Slow-smoked beef. They write us about it constantly, and their dogs lose their minds the second the box opens.
Fair warning, it's the real deal. If you're sensitive to smoky scents, give it a day or two to air out and it settles right down. But most people? They freakin' love it.

You Get Your Evening Back
Your dog is your best friend. You're also their best friend, which is the problem. They want you, all of you, all the time, and some days you just need to cook, finish the call, or sit down for half an hour without 70 pounds of love at your feet.
This is the fix our customers reach for. You hand over the bone, your dog locks in, and the house goes quiet. They don't call it a treat. They call it the babysitter.

They Know Before You Even Open the Box
Ask any of our customers. Their dogs go wild the second the delivery truck pulls up. They smell that BBQ box from the driveway and start dancing at the door before a single piece of tape comes off.
Across 27,000+ reviews, the most common word is simply "loves."

Smoked Beef Marrow Bone
If your dog destroys every chew in minutes, these bones are for you. Our customers with aggressive chewers tell us these are the first bones that actually last without splintering into shards.
Unlike mass-produced bones cooked at extreme heat (which weakens them), ours are low-temperature hickory-smoked, keeping the bone in its naturally strong state. Quality over quantity has always been our approach. Built for the toughest jaws.

Frequently Asked Questions
How come these bones don't splinter?
The bones are prepared using an old Southern smoking technique which naturally preserves the marrow, meat, and bone. This method, combined with the fact that they're low temperature and slow smoked, strengthens the bone and prevents it from splintering.
How do I store this bone?
These bones have a minimum shelf life of 3 years. To store the marrow bones, avoid using airtight containers like ziplock bags or Tupperware unless you're freezing them. The bones need air to maintain freshness due to their preservative-free nature. You can keep them in their original box or wrap them in paper. Refrigeration is also an option.
Will they stain my carpet?
Our bones are not at all messy. If you are concerned, put a towel or blanket down for the first 10-20 min, after that, they will be bone dry, no pun intended!
Do they go bad?
These marrow bones have a minimum shelf life of 3 years thanks to the natural preservation from the smoking process. However, they require air to stay fresh. Avoid storing them in airtight containers unless you are placing them in the freezer.
Why don't you ship them in plastic?
Our marrow bones need air to stay fresh because they are preservative-free. Storing them in airtight containers like ziplock bags or Tupperware can impact their shelf life and freshness, unless they are stored in the freezer. Therefore, it's best to avoid shipping or storing them in plastic.
Are your bones suitable for all breeds and sizes?
Yes, our bones are perfect for all-sized dogs. This includes small breeds like yorkies and chihuahuas. For your convenience, we have a size guideline: Dogs weighing 20lbs and under should have a small size, 21lbs to 40lbs a medium, and those weighing 41lbs and above should be given a large size.
